Nepal National Aviation Council (NNAC) is a non-profit sharing company incorporated in the Company Registrar Office of the Government of Nepal. Established in the year 2007, NNAC aims to enhance the overall development of the aviation and airline industry in Nepal, serving as a sole an independent, non-governmental organization. NNAC was formed by a group of experienced professionals and experts belonging to the aviation and airline industry in Nepal to serve as a think-tank and project executing agency to deal with various aviation related issues in the Country. The Council aims to provide training, research, suggestions and consultancy services to the government and aviation/airline industry in general. The Council aims to point out to the industry, the regulators and decision makers about required reforms, necessary up-gradations and revisions needed to strengthen efforts in policy formulations and implementations of various programs.

VISION
NNAC'S vision is to be the apex umbrella organization of aviation/airline professionals and business concerns in Nepal that supports the government and the private aviation industry in the fields of quality personnel, airports, airspace and business development. The Council will serve as a think-tank and advisory role-player and work with national and international bodies to facilitate effective policy formulation and implementation to develop the overall aviation industry in Nepal.

MISSION
NNAC will fulfill its vision by representing and promoting Nepalese aviation and the airline industry, advocating safety, security, efficiency, competency and sustainable growth and development of air transport, trade and tourism sector. NNAC aims to be the focal point for the construction of the newly proposed, full-fledged international airport at Nijgadh. Its missions include establishing a competent Aviation Academy of international standards in Nepal and help the government and the industry to work collectively in a coordinated manner to provide competent and competitive maintenance personnel's and services at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu in the near future. The Council will advocate pertinent aviation related issues, based on research, with the authorities, the investors and the general public to create awareness on critical issues. The Council will also exercise certain regulatory functions if and when entrusted by the government.
